I am a United States Marine Corps veteran, mom, wife, homesteader, and chicken lover. I started Chicken Scratch Company as a way to connect with people on a base level and provide products that bring happiness and sustainability. We have owned chickens for about 3 years now, and what started my love for them was a little Americana named Scarlett. Scarlett had the sweetest nature yet was a force to be reckoned with. She is what made us pursue our dream of a family farm. Unfortunately, she passed last year due to an animal attack. Therefore, this company is all owed to her.
